    RRB junior engineer selection is made strictly as per merit, on the basis of marks scored in online or offline examination.

    Based on the marks scored in the online or offline examination, candidates equal to the number of vacancies are called for document verification. In addition 30% extra candidates are also called as standby.

    During document verification, candidates should produce their original certificates. No additional time will be given and the candidature of the candidate not producing their original certificates on the date of verification is liable to be cancelled.

    Appointment letter will be issued to the candidate after successful completion of Medical Fitness test conducted by Railway Administration and verification of character of the candidates.

    The standard of questions for the RRB JE examination will be generally in conformity with the educational standards and minimum technical qualification prescribed for the RRB junior engineer posts.

    The RRB JE questions will be of objective type and questions pertaining to General awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science and Technical ability will be asked.

    RRB JE question paper consists of 150 questions each question carrying one marks, out of which 90 Questions are asked from Technical Ability and General Science, remaining 60 Marks will be asked from General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence and Reasoning.

    The RRB JE Technical ability section contains questions from Basic concepts of Science and Engineering from all the branches or disciplines of educational qualification prescribed for respective RRB JE post.

    The RRB JE examination will be having negative marking in which, for each wrong answer 1/3 rd of the marks allotted for each question will be deducted.

    Duration of RRB JE exam will be 120 minutes for 150 questions.
